  • Sandbox Maps: Large, open maps with plenty of space and props, designed specifically for building and experimenting without limits.

How to Play on a Custom Map

Once you’ve subscribed to a map from the Steam Workshop, starting a game on it is simple:

  1. From the Garry’s Mod main menu, click on “Start New Game”.
  2. On the right side of the screen, you will see a list of all your installed maps. Find the one you just downloaded and click on it.
  3. You can configure multiplayer options on the left, or just leave it on Singleplayer.
  4. Click the “Start Game” button at the bottom right, and the map will begin to load.
